She was predeceased by: her mother Phyllis Waugh Johnson. She is survived by: her father Bobby Lee Johnson of Louisa, VA; her husband James David "Jim" Weaver of Orange, VA; her sons, Brad Weaver of Richmond, VA and Hunter Weaver (Kathryn Schmitz) of Richmond, VA; her mother-in-law Jo-Anne Bradford Weaver of Bristol, VA; her sister Paige Johnson Carpenter (Jim) of Louisa, VA; her niece Claire Carpenter Allen of Troy, VA; and her nephews, Austin Carpenter and Collin Carpenter of Harrisonburg, VA..

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Karen Johnson Weaver Memorial Scholarship.
