With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Raynor Shoemaker of Orange, Virginia, who passed away on April 9, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Raynor and Margaret Raynor; her husband William Crenshaw Shoemaker; her siblings, David Raynor, James Raynor, Richard Raynor (Betty) and Esther Beahm (Thomas); and her brothers-in-law, Leonard Smith and Lieut Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Thomas (Glenn) of Orange, VA and David Dyer (Donna Lou) of Oak Park, VA; her stepson Matthew Shoemaker (Elania); her siblings, Albert Raynor of Orange, VA, Lucille Smith of Orange, VA and Dorothy Taylor of Greene Co; her sister-in-law Mary Raynor; her grandchildren, Colleen Dykstra (Clayton), Emily Lou Dyer and DJ Dyer; her great grandchildren, Knox Dyer and Kove Dyer; and her friend John L. Dyer. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
