She was predeceased by: her parents, Authur Lee Highlander and Blanche Scott Edwards Highlander; her husband Carl Eldridge Herndon, Sr.; and her brother Frank Highlander. She is survived by: her son Carl E. "Chip" Herndon, Jr. (Vicki) of Zion Crossroads, VA; and her cousins, William F. Brown and Arlene Brown.
