He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar R. Carpenter, Sr. and Virginia Clore Carpenter; and his sister Virginia Clark. He is survived by: his siblings, Edgar R. Carpenter, Jr. (Margaret), Mary Carpenter (Maxwell) and Frances Dodson; his cousin Jerry Williams (Louise); his children, Ricky and Lori; his grandchildren, Jerry, Kristina, Ryan and Dakotah; his wife Elaine Madison Carpenter; his stepsons, Mark Bledsoe (Natatia), Scott Bledsoe (Ann) and Chris Bledsoe (Kamie); his grandchildren, Nick Bledsoe (Alyssa), Kaitlin Bledsoe, Tyler Hallam (Megan), Lindsay Bledsoe (Luca), Kelsey Bledsoe (Chris) and Burke Hallam (Caroline); and his great grandchildren, Hayes, Rowan, Dayton, Kayce and Madison.
