He was predeceased by: his parents, Mongo Dick Altman and Allene Swift Altman; and his wife Edna Brooking Altman. He is survived by: his sons, Carroll B. "Brook" Altman (Hilda) of Unionville and Charles Altman of Orange; his grandchildren, Mark Altman (Lori), Kelly Colvin (Carlton) and Amy Altman; and his siblings, Kay Frances Gentry (Walter) of Spotsylvania, Reese Altman (Patricia) of Mineral, Ranny Altman (Debbie) of Fredericksburg, Roy Altman (Virginia) of Belmont and Zip Altman (Shirley) of Belmont. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
