He was predeceased by: his parents, Rachel Mallory and James Lewis May, Sr.; and his siblings, Eugene, Myrtle Mundy, Nellie Mouberry, Janice Miller, David and Roy May.
He is survived by: his daughter Cindy (Howard Arthur); his grandsons, David B. of Amherst, Peter Arthur of Amherst and Michael Arthur (Sabrina Winslow) of Chesapeake, Virginia.; and his brother J. Lewis May (Joan). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
