She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred T. Duncan, Sr. and Minnie Ross Duncan; her husband John A. "Jack" Gordy, Sr.; and her siblings, Pearl Duncan Littleton, Bessie Duncan Custis, Alfred T. Duncan, Jr. and William H. "Billy" Duncan (Barbara Jean).
She is survived by: her children, James Alfred "Mac" Mackie (Elsie), Robert Bates "Bobby" Taylor, Sr. (Susan) and Billye D. Custis (John Dennis); her grandchildren, James Alfred "Jamie" Mackie, Jr. (Colleen), Laurie Hope Mackie, Robert Bates "Bobby" Taylor, Jr. (Talia) and Willie Taylor (Gina); her great grandchildren, Noelle Bailey, Bailey Bates Taylor, Bobby Bates Taylor, III, Ellen Grace Taylor, Guthrie Preston Mackie and Landria Taylor; and her brother-in-law Rosebud Custis.
