She was predeceased by: her parents, Warner Ames Johnson and Beatrice Janie Thomas Johnson; her siblings, Peggy Wessells, Janie Fitchett, Dorothy "Dot" Rowley, Shirley Adkins, Betty Saunders and Barry Thomas "Ditty Mouse" Johnson; her niece Jeannie Smith; and her nephew David Lee Saunders.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Thomas Smith; her children, Glenda Smith McKay (Christopher) of Rocky Mount, VA and Larry Wayne Smith (Christina Lynn Thornton) of Melfa; her sister Linda Jackson (Chester) of Parksley, VA; and her grandson Benjamin Daniel Green. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
