She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernestine Johnson and Albert Johnson; and her siblings, Ruth Wright, Louis, Cecil, Charles and Howard Johnson.

She is survived by: her husband Sammy Belote of Annapolis; her children, Terry Belote and Doug Belote (Rob Landino); her siblings, Jean Sturgis, Dorothy Culver, Charlott Conniff and George Johnson; and her sister-in-law Emily Johnson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Always wanting to help other people, she donated her body for Alzheimer's and other medical research.
