She was predeceased by: her spouse Melvin Kegley Irvin; her parents, George Collier Taylor and Lillian Guy Taylor; and her sister Jane Taylor Ingram. She is survived by: her children, Catherine Irvin Chavarri of Metairie, LA, Melvin Collier Irvin (Karen) of Ashburn, VA and Gregory Taylor Irvin (Kathy) of Franklin, TN; and her grandchildren, David, Melanie, Zach, Catherine, Jason and Lindsay. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
