He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Mason and Virginia Ross Mason. He is survived by: his wife Linda Laird Mason; his children, Michael Mason (Dawn) of Onancock and Traci Smith (Bryan) of Temperanceville, VA; his aunt Annabelle H. Ross of Assawoman, VA; and his granddaughter Lindsey Smith.
