It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Lee Lawson of Onancock, Virginia, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on April 1, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James C. Fisher, Sr. and Viola Harper Fisher; her husband Louis "Lou" L. Lawson; her sons, Dwayne Lawson and Gary Lawson; her grandson Christopher Lawson; and her brother James Carlton Fisher, Jr..

She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Terry Lawson; and her grandson Robert Lawson (Caitlin).
