She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Birch and Essie Taylor Birch Fitchett. She is survived by: her daughter Constance Hopper Ward (Bernie) of Salisbury, MD; her grandchildren, Lara Whitehead (Andrew) of Salisbury and Wayne Kovacs of New Jersey; and her great grandchild A. J. Whitehead of Salisbury.
