He is survived by: his wife Gladys Gay of Easton, MD.; his son Sean; his sisters, Louise, Daisey, Amelia and Annette; his stepdaughter Terye Reese Knopp; and his granddaughter Neo Morenilla Schultz. He is also survived by 19 siblings.
