With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dodie Steele of Onancock, Virginia, born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on April 1, 2023 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Ethan Allen III and Marilyn Floyd; and her adoptive mother Dorothy Watson. She is survived by: her husband Craig Duane Steele; her children, Joshua Steele (Amber) of Chesapeake, Jessica Steele (Daniel) of Norfolk and Jacob Steele (Ellen) of Onancock; her grandchildren, Noah, Emma, Sullivan and Adalynn; her sister Dana Floyd (Bill) of Belle Haven; her nephew Joe Floyd (Nicola) of Matthews, NC; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jon, Jayden and Jack. She is also survived by many close friends and extended family.
