It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Layton (Onancock, Virginia), born in Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on February 25, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Caleb Rodney Layton, III and Marie Brooke Layton; his stepson R. Stewart Keating; and his brother Rodney Caleb Layton. He is survived by: his wife Ethel Vermilye Layton; his daughters, Elizabeth Layton Powell of Medford, OR and Jennifer Stuart Layton of Bend, OR; his stepdaughter Parker Keating Spurry of Easton, MD; his sister Marie Layton Laird of Wilmington, DE; and his grandchildren, MaryAnn Powell of Medford, OR, Andrew Powell of Medford, OR, Brittney Keating Azouny of Philadelphia, PA, Hunter Martin Keating of Bozeman, MT and Eliza Ker Spurry of Easton, MD..
