We are sad to announce that on July 13, 2022, at the age of 95, Claire Barnes of Onancock, Virginia, born in Cleveland, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband William W. Barnes; and her parents, Sebastian Schill and Clara Gamauf Schill. She is survived by: her children, Scott J. Barnes of Bloomington, IN, Virginia Ann "Ginger" Strong (Paul) of Cape Charles, VA and Carol Elizabeth Barnes of DeLand, FL; and her brother S. James Schill (Jean) of Bonita Springs, FL. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and a great-grand daughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
