He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Lee Custis, Sr. and Sophronia Tyler Custis; his siblings, Walter, Ernest, Clarence, Roosevelt, George, Pernell, Robert, Bertha, Mildred, Maria and Kay; his son Keith Turner; and his brother James A. Custis (Dorothy) of Washington, DC.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Johnny and Tommy; and his children, Sherry Lilliston, Barry Snead of Accomack County, Benjamin, Ike and Christine Custis of Washington, DC. He is also survived by four grandchildren; twenty-five nieces; twenty-three nephews; fifteen great-nieces; twenty-five great-nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
