It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alta Applegate of Onancock, Virginia, born in Spring Lake, New Jersey, who passed away on September 24, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George H. Applegate; and her parents, Alton B. Osborn and Susie Falkinburg Osborn. She is survived by: her children, Jeanne M. Applegate Lotkowski (Ed) of Keene, NH, Edith L. "Sandi" Caspersen of Bloomsburg, PA, Patricia A. "Triche" Sherman (Corrie) of Point Pleasant, NJ, George H. Applegate, Jr. (Christy) of Onancock, John W. Applegate of Bealeton, VA, Susan M. Hurst (Andy) of Onley, VA and James D. Applegate (Kim) of Cape Charles, VA; and her sisters, Doris White of Long Branch, NJ and Ruth Masella of Venice, FL. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
