He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Shortridge and Joyce Ann Street Shortridge; his sister Teresa Shortridge; and his grandparents, Rell, Callie Street, Ernest and Watie Shortridge.
He is survived by: his children, Richelle Shortridge (Phil Bowen) of Oakwood, Delaynea Montero, Karlos of Fort Campbell, Wendy Lester (James) of Oakwood, Melissa Cook (Michael) of Council and Jessica Martin (Shawn) of Honaker; his fiancée Rita Woodard of Oakwood; his siblings, Timothy Shortridge (Melissa) of Oakwood and Vickie Moore (Tony) of Rowe; his grandchildren, Allen Thomas, Jr., Deklan Wade Thomas, Jameson Dean Thomas, Brantley Jonathan Jace Deel, Kaleab Woodard, Mikeal Blaze Woodard, Megan Nickels, Haley Woodard, Jedidiah Woodard, Jadelynn Woodard and Jaycee Lester; and his great grandchildren, Kalix Woodard, Axton Woodard, Charlie Nickels and Asher Woodard. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
