He was predeceased by: his father Zane Allen Childress; and his wife Helen Marcella Keen Childress. He is survived by: his mother Nita Jeraline Richardson Childress of Mavisdale, VA; his children, Michael Duane Childress, II (Jeannie) of Lebanon, VA and Adrian Childress; his brother Zane Allen Childress (Becky) of Doran, VA.; and his grandson Nolan Zane Childress. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
