She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Vandyke and Bessie Keen Vandyke; and her parents-in-law, Sydney Guy and Virginia Smith. She is survived by: her husband Roy "Snook" Smith; her children, Douglas (Tammy Smith) of Conaway, Roy (Lizabeth Smith) of Oakwood and Rachel (Jarrett Kuehl) of Rural Retreat; her grandchildren, Eddie, Austin Smith of Conaway, Joshua Smith of Oakwood, Lyndsey (Justin Daniels) of Grundy and Jeorgia Vandyke of Rural Retreat; her great grandchildren, Ahleah Smith and Liam Smith; her brothers, Billy (Joy Vandyke) of Keen Mountain, Bobby Vandyke of Keen Mountain and Delmar (Pam) of Pine Hall, NC; and her brother-in-law Joe Smith of Bristol, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the medical expenses fund for Lucas Boyd at TruPoint Bank or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
