She was predeceased by: her parents, F. B. McCoy and Rena Lester McCoy; her husband Stuart Matney; and her sons, Tony Ray Matney, Stanley Keith Matney and Brian Steven Matney.
She is survived by: her siblings, Carlie Slone of Hurley, VA, Dolly Blankenship (Venor) of Hurley, VA, Bertha May (Greg) of Hurley, VA, Sandra Gail Christian (James) of Hurley, VA, Ruby Spurlock (Bushy) of Hurley, VA and Harold McCoy (Ginger) of Hurley, VA.; her grandchildren, Dustin Matney (Kim), Steven Matney, Brayden Matney and Lyla Vance; and her sister Alice Porter. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; special friend.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home (1021 Six And Twenty Mile Br Rd, Grundy, VA 24614). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
