He is survived by: his son Jeff; his daughter-in-law Wendy Barnes; his daughter Amy; his son-in-law Stephen O'Brien; his grandchildren, Danielle, Steven, Robert and Ryan; his great grandchild Charlie; and his wife Betsy Barnes.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established a fundraiser with the Alzheimer's Association.
