He is survived by: his spouse Vivian Pate Smith; his sisters, Lucy Price (Ron) of Reidsville, NC, Judy Liles (David) of Chesapeake and Flora Smith of Chesapeake; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Revels (Billy) and Phillip Jethro. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and by his wife's nieces and nephews and a great nephew.
