She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Brooks and Virginia Marie Shobe (Simons); her granddaughter Stephanie Garcia; and her siblings, Carol Humphrey (Wayne), Marion Brooks Shobe, Jr. and Ronnie Shobe.
She is survived by: her friend Robert "Mike" Watson; her daughter Michelle Garcia (Gilbert); her granddaughters, Lisa Hollingsworth (Christian) and Bonnie Eckman (Matt); and her siblings, Izetta Christy (Wayne) and Roger Shobe. She is also survived by many nieces nephews and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Downing Cemetery (10477 Lankford Hwy, Temperanceville, VA 23442).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to breast cancer research.
