She is survived by: her children, Kathy Heranney (Joe) of Lebanon, Diana Mullins (William) of Abingdon, Rhonda Mooney of Castlewood, Lisa Collins of Castlewood, Chasity Phillips (Delmer "Booner") of Castlewood, Virginia, Roger Dotson (Connie) of Castlewood, Bobby Dotson (Nancy) of Clintwood, Wayne Hammons (Tabatha) of Haysi and Randy Hammons of Lebanon, Virginia; and her close friend Betty Branham. She is also survived by several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, Funeral Services for Thelma Ruth Hammons will be conducted at 1:00 p. m. Sunday, December 27, 2020, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Lawrence Hollyfield and Rev. D. J. Couch officiating.
