He is survived by: his children, Roy Lee Thacker, Jr. of Nora and Susan Mays (Kevin) of Wise; his grandchildren, Chris Spurlock (Emily) of Kingsport, Roy Lee Thacker, III of Wise and Riley Ann Faye Thacker of Norton; his great grandchild Wesley Chase Spurlock; the mother of his children Mary Thacker of Duffield; and his daughter-in-law Julie McCoy of Wise. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
