He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell Herndon and Maude Herndon. He is survived by: his wife Frances Elizabeth Pardue Herndon; his daughter Cindy; his son-in-law Jim of Midlothian; his son Carl Herndon (Claudia Hawkins); his sister Jean Spradlin of Norton; his nephews, Ben Spradlin (Rhonda), Clay Spradlin (Nicole), Stewart Spradlin (Tamrya) and Jim Talley (Val); and his niece Jan Talley. He is also survived by family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, PO Box 499, Norton, Va 24273.
