She was predeceased by: her husband Ray Salyers; her daughter Myra Calton; her granddaughter Krystal Calton; her parents, Claude Provence and Ruth Provence; and her stepmother Elizabeth Provence.
She is survived by: her sister Greta Phelps of Norton, VA; her children, Connie Haney (Lowell) of Johnson City, TN, Benita Ferguson (Alan) of Roanoke, VA and Stacy Salyers (Lesa) of Norton, VA; her grandchildren, Charlie Calton (Ashley) of Roanoke, VA, Mallory Hubbard (Jerrett) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Kara Qualls (Justin); her niece Andrea Phelps of Alexandria, VA; her great grandchildren, Hillary Hubbard, Wyatt Calton and Reid Calton; her stepgrandchildren, Joshua Ferguson of Roanoke, VA, Kristi Bowles (Travis) of Roanoke, VA, Brendan Haney (Austin) of Jacksonville, FL and Joseph Haney (Amanda) of Hickory, NC; and also, Misty Mullins (Terry), Marissa and Olivia of Wise, VA. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Due to Covid guidelines, the family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, from 12:00 P. M. till 1:00 P. M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA in a walk through visitation with a graveside service to follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery.
