She was predeceased by: her husband Johnny Smith; and her children, Barbara Jean Smith and Carl Smith. She is survived by: her children, Shelby Shortt (Terry) of Norton, Tonya Noel (Jerome) of Norton, Willie Mae Smith of Norton, Juanita Reese of Norton and Johnny Lee Smith, Jr. (Berthella Faye) of North Carolina. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; six brothers; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
