She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Mefford Jr.; her sons, James Mefford and Terry Mefford; her parents, Will H. Laney and Elsie D. Laney; and her siblings, Venus Myers, Ethel Perkins, Ruth Stapleton, Harold Laney, Howard Laney and Rhea Laney.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Watson (Ray) and Wayne Mefford (Sue); and her sister Inez Walker. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
