He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxine Scott Scyphers and James Franklin Scyphers; and his siblings, Carl Scyphers and Vivian Bunn. He is survived by: his sister Birdie Stewart; his children, Tracy Jones, Lisa Stidham and Jackye Sams (Roger); and his close friend Betty King. He is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
