He is survived by: his wife Kathy Fultz Kern of Norton; his children, Jerome Kern, Jr. of Norton, Douglas Kern (Lavaughn) of Norton and Clarissa (Bill McClain); his grandchildren, Brionna Kern, Savahanna Kern, Sierra Kern, Dylan Kern, Kaitlain McClain, Payton Kern, Lucas McClain and McKenzie Kern; his great grandchildren, Nolan and Jackson; his siblings, Vernon Kerns of Coeburn, Richard Kern of Wise, Steve Kern of Norton, Mildred Mullis of Norton, Jean Blankenship (Bill) of Norton and Alice Chandler (Radford); and his close friends, Gary, Rodney Fultz and Sandra Kinser. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
