He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry York Powers, Sr. and Freda Mae Powers; his brother Michael Powers; his sister-in-law Kathy Powers; and his uncle Larry Powers.
He is survived by: his son Andrew Powers; his siblings, Barry Powers, Jerry Powers, Jr. (Kim), Sharon Stanley (Ronnie), Pam Bolling and Teresa Carty; and his close friend Johnny Lawson.
