He was predeceased by: his parents, George Walker and Ora Faye Cowden (Allen); his wife Mary Arlene Cowden (Marshall); and his son Joel Cowden. He is survived by: his children, Cathy Tindall and James Jr. Cowden (Rick); and his sisters, Jane Armstrong and Joan Weatherly. He is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
