It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Virginia Sybert (Norton, Virginia), who passed away on March 14, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Patton Thompson and Nannie Adams Thompson; the father of her children James Patton Sybert; and her siblings, Stella Collier, Frances Watts, Nora Barnham and Cecil Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Hayden (Jim) of Whitsett, NC, Debra Bright (William, Jr.) of Greer, SC and James Patton Sybert, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Coeburn, VA; her grandsons, James B. Hayden IV and Allen P. Hayden; her great grandchildren, Andrew and Madelyn; and her sisters, Jean Cox, Evelyn Porter (Jim) of Cameron, NC, Marky Bolling (Norman) of Woodbridge, VA and Donna Myers (Teddy).
