He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lee; his parents, Thomas Edgar Freeman and Patsy Ann Freeman; and his siblings, Hubert Freeman, Morris Freeman, Sarah Pike, Alba Adams and Della Stapleton.

He is survived by: his children, Scott Freeman (Theresa) and Vanessa Freeman Zerhusen (Leo); and his grandchildren, Daniel Freeman (Kelly), Gabriel, Baker and Marylee Zerhusen. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
