She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Mickles and Myrtle Craft Mickles; her husband Maynard Gardner; her close friend Dallas Collier; her siblings, Ralph Mickles, Clyde Mickles, Edward Mickles, Bill Mickles, Charles Mickles, Jr., Kathleen Schubert, Margie Sigmon and Ruth Kilgore; and her children, Danny Lee Gardner and Teresa Lynn Gardner.
She is survived by: her son Larry Gardner (Joana) of Norton, VA; her granddaughters, Stephanie Carol Sheppard (Michael) and Jennifer Smith (Jeremy); and her sisters, Irene Rienzo, Louise Witt and Sue Hobart. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
