She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Miles and Maxie Miles of Norton, VA.; her husband Beryl F. Adams; her son Gary F. Adams; and her siblings, Otis Miles, Annie Roberts, Arnold Miles, Margaret Starnes, David Miles, Everette Miles and Lewis Miles.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marcia Adams Gilliam (Marvin) and Kim Adams Gibson (Jerry); her daughter-in-law Debbie Frye Adams; her granddaughter Madison Adams Jones (Aaron); and her sisters-in-law, Phronsie Miles, Marsha Miles, Sue Adams, Louise Snodgrass and Sue Yarhouse. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family, her church family, and several life-long friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Gary Adams Tennis Scholarship Fund at UVA Wise, One College Avenue, Wise, VA 24293 or St. Jude Children's Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105, who Barbara credited along with God for saving Madison's life 20 years ago.
