She is survived by: her husband David Carpenter of Norton; her children, Damiya Carpenter Garvin (Jonathan Lamar Garvin) of Garnett, SC and Courtland Ramon Gales of Norton; her grandchildren, Courtland Deairick Gales of Norton and Maleeyia Gales of Norton; and her brother David Carter of Yonkers, NY.
