With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Adele Mae McCoy Baker in Norton, Virginia, who passed away on October 22, 2022 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonzie E. McCoy and Flora Reedy McCoy; her husband Billy "Bondo" Baker; her daughter Valerie Anne Baker; her granddaughter Zoey S. Baker; her siblings, Jimmy McCoy, Charles McCoy, Donald McCoy, Jean McCoy Pitzer and Judy McCoy Crider; and her nieces, Susie and Patty.
She is survived by: her daughters, Emily Baker of Coeburn, Alicea Baker Blankenship (Corey) of Coeburn and Cari Freeman (David) of Richmond, Virginia; her grandchildren, Trinity Baker, William Stapleton, Adam Baker, Sarah Stapleton, Kaitlyn Freeman, Ireland Burke, Isabella Burke and Jaxon Burke; and her nieces and nephews, Robert McCoy, Tommy Straughan, Michael Brickey, Frances Stanley, Linda Davis, Susan Simpson and Kay Whitley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Castlewood Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
