It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary C. Rivers of North, Virginia, who passed away on January 1, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Deaconess Annie Laura Rivers and Deacon Cooper J.; and his siblings, Viola Mae Rivers Young and Archie L. "Tony" Rivers. He is survived by: his daughters, Dr. Kimberlin Rivers and Dr. Beverly Rivers Godwin (Mark); his close friend Cynthia Bowles; his siblings, Raymond J. Rivers (Dorothy), James R. Rivers, Sr. (Annie) and Annie Rivers Dailey; his aunt Anna Rivers Ridley; and his grandchildren, Khalia, Myles, Bryce, Mark and Treasure.
