He is survived by: his children, Robin Thomas (James) of Tazewell, VA, Rick Hess (Wanda) of North Tazewell, VA and Terry Hess of Summerville; his sister Peggy Kelly (John) of Tazewell, VA.; his grandchildren, Lisa Cole, Ryan Thomas, Leanne Thomas, Summer Hess, Brooke Plott, Quinn Lewis and Kristen Hess; and his great grandchildren, Claire Cole, Faith Cole, Lilly Plott, Finley Plott, Elijah Adams, Carter Lewis, Talan Lewis, Saylor Lewis, McKenna Cush and Parker Kuijf.
