With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Alwell of North Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on July 23, 2024 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As James departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alwell and Eleanor Alwell; his sister Joanne Alwell; and his brother-in-law John Awrytis Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Linda Awrytis Wagner Alwell; his children, Christopher and Mary Lynn; his siblings, Eileen Parr (Tom), Kevin Alwell (Debra) and Mary Greynolds (Barry); and his siblings-in-law, Judy Kemppainen (Michael) and Stephen Awrytis (Denise). He is also survived by nephews and great nieces and nephews.
