It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Alex Spencer of North Garden, Virginia, born in Charlottesville, Virginia, who passed away on February 8, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kenneth and Maggie Lozelle Spencer Mays (McCary); his siblings, Michael Spencer, Roxie Smith, Donald Spencer and Monty Spencer; his sons, Steven Spencer and Todd Spencer; his former wife Patsy Spencer; and his stepfather Cecil Mays.
He is survived by: his brother James L. Spencer of Lake Monticello; his son Chris Spencer of Charlottesville; his foster son Zachary Whetzel of Stuarts Draft; his sister Jean Johnson; and his sister-in-law Patsy Spencer. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
