She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert William and Mary Virginia Gardner Pebworth. She is survived by: her husband Edward Ray Jones, Sr.; her children, Robert Wayne Hamett, Edward Ray Jones, Jr., Kenneth Edward Lucas and Carrie Beth Jobe; and her sister Faye Markert. She is also survived by one niece and 3 nephews, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Northside Baptist Church (1325 Rio Rd E, Charlottesville, VA 22901).
