She was predeceased by: her parents, William Marston and Jeanne Douglass Mead. She is survived by: her husband Michael Mehlin; her daughter Virginia Grace Garland "Gigi" Mead; her stepdaughter Elizabeth Vaughan-Mead; her brother Bill Mead; her sister-in-law Lisa Phillips; her niece Clara Mead; her sister Melinda Mead; and also, Eliza, Susan, Irma, Meg, Frank and Bess.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to World Central Kitchen, the IRC in Charlottesville, or the DC/MD/VA Chapter of the ALS Association.
