With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Edward Bethea (Norfolk, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 15, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though William may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maddie Rose Johnson and Leroy Bethea; and his wife Lenora Bethea. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Brown-Bethea, Janel Bethea and Rose Bethea-Harold. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Graves Funeral Home (1631 Church St, Norfolk, VA 23504). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
