He was predeceased by: his mother Edith Connell McGowan; his wife Diane; and his siblings, Donald McGowan, Claire Nugent and Marie DeAngelis.
He is survived by: his father Charles McGowan; and his daughters, Erin McDonough (Victor), Lauren Lewis (Christopher), Jill Oechler (Thomas) and Kristin Ishac (Hussam). He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
